Prior joining Knifedge in 2005, Timothy spent 10 years working in design, branding, moving image, television and live performance. Former employers include branding agencies English & Pockett, Devil Fish and various other organizations as a freelancer. He was design director across BBC News 24, BBC Three and BBC Children’s promotions for BBC Broadcast from 2003-05.

Timothy is increasingly known for pioneering projection design, the use of moving image in a live environment. Credits include design and projection design for stage adaptations of A Christmas Carol, The Lavender Hill Mob and The Hound of the Baskervilles, and The Award Winning Menier Chocolate Factory and the West End Production of Sunday in the Park with George by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine.

His short film ‘Bus Stop’ was shortlisted at the London Raindance film festival and he has a Promax award for animation. Sunday in the Park with George received the Critics Choice Design Award (2005), the Evening Standard Theatre Design Award (2006), and the Olivier Award (2006) for Best Design, all awarded jointly to Timothy (Projection Design) and David Farley (Set and Costume Design).
