In a what firmly places their digital destiny at their control, the London Philharmonic Orchestra has launched their own digital music store which delivers music downloads to its fans, subscribers and the digital generation.

Knifedge worked with Martian Music Online to develop the unique software technology to enable the London Philharmonic Orchestra to control and deliver digital content directly to their audience, with no aggregators or middle men, leaving the lion’s share of income with the artists.

This new online self-publishing system provides consumers with new music choices, fair pricing and high quality DRM-free mp3 files which most importantly, work on all music players.

This bespoke digital service links seamlessly from the current LPO site. The front end ‘skin’ adheres to the LPO brand (logo, colours, fonts etc) and adopts the look and style of their current website. Martian Music providing the back office, compliance, reporting, and payments.
