St Bride Foundation

As part of the overall communication strategy the St Bride Foundation website was one of the most important aspects. As the online presence of the organisation, the site was the most immediate method of communicating how different Foundation of 2006 was from the Foundation of 2004.

In the years leading up to 2004, the St Bride Foundation Institute had become in essence a venue for hire. It was meeting its original charitable aims - providing a space for a range of community activities but it wasn't really making the most of its conference and events potential because its old website was hard to use and wasn't appealing to the corporate world. In addition, the site concentrated only one what space was available because when it was created, the Foundation left the management of the Bridewell Theatre and the St Bride Library to other organisations.

By redeveloping the site, Knifedge was able to bring the brand to life again, and express the new constitution of the Foundation more articulately. Working closely with the Friends of the St Bride Library, we were able to align the look of the Foundation site and the Library specific site such that the organisation could present itself as one endeavour rather than many disparate ones.

The conference and events area was able to give much more helpful data to potential clients and the Foundation's conference team was able to market its service more effectively. Following the launch of the site and new brochure bookings increased by 25%.

The Foundation's core team is able to update and manage much of the site themselves using the content management system (CMS). This is of particular benefit to the Theatre team since it allows them to maintain web marketing for a rapidly turnover of fringe shows with relative ease.

What Our Clients Say

‘The work that Knifedge has produced has been an invaluable tool for marketing the venue, the print work along with the website, exceeded all our expectations of the brief we gave and the Knifedge team was a pleasure to work with throughout the process, enabling clarification of a complex brand. It has certainly enabled us to explain and market our offering more effectively.’
