For the past four years, Louise Rhoades-Brown has worked at the creative and digital agency, Knifedge as a motion graphic designer, specialising in projection design and content production for Theatre and Live Events.
This year, Louise created the projection design for the critically acclaimed theatre debut of The Swallowing Dark, directed by Paul Robinson and co-produced by Theatre 503 and the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Studio. Earlier this year Louise was part of a team of designers creating projection content for American singer/songwriter Josh Groban’s “Straight To You” multi-arena tour of the USA. She also creatively directed and designed the 3D content to project on to a “heliosphere” – a 6 metre suspended helium filled balloon – for a live event in Holland Park. Louise has recently worked on the creation of animations to advertise the 2011 Promax conference and award ceremony.
Other design projects have included content creation for Proctor and Gamble’s “Hairworld” show in 2010 – the world’s largest hair Expo event – and a series of internal communications animations for Nokia.
In the new year Louise will be part of a team developing video content for Snow Patrol’s UK tour, and working alongside Nina Dunn in creating projection visuals for Raymond Gubbay’s production of Aida at the Royal Albert Hall.
Knifedge are pioneers of combining moving image and digital technology with traditional theatrical story-telling and design.
